Obit: Burley: Rita C. Carmody, 77, Burley, died Sunday, July 30, 1989 at the
Minidoka Memorial Hospital in Rupert. She was born Sept 1, 1911, at Oakley,
the daughter of Ray and Ella Briggs Craner. She married GeorgeH. Carmody on
Sept 24, 1945 at Salt Lake City, Utah. He preceded her in deathon March 13,
1989. She and her husband owned and operated the Mayfair clothing store in
Burley until selling and retiring in 1972. Funeral services were held
Wednesday, Aug 2 at the Joseph Payne Memorial Chapel, Burley, with President
Newel A. Nelson officiating. Burial was at the Pleasant View Cemetery.
